I have not written much lately. I used to write daily but that was a long time ago. It is true that work, family and a home business have taken up a lot of my time. But, I have not felt as driven to write as I used to feel, too. This entry is my attempt to get back into writing and discussing comic books and classic cartoons.

I have not watched any old Woody Woodpecker or Andy Panda cartoons for a few years. I need to spend an evening introducing my daughter to the good old cartoons I grew up watching. That said, she has watched Pink Panther and loves him. I even bought her a collection of the earliest Pink Panther cartoons. (I forgot he actually talked in a few of them.) Soon, I will find time to show my girl who Woody Woodpecker is and why he is a classic character. I've said it before but I'll say it again, the best Woody cartoons were the earliest years when he was pestering Wally Walrus, had a larger body and crazy eyes.

Regarding animated/comic book characters, I am very excited to see the new Fantastic Four movie coming out this summer. There has been a lot of controversy over the movie and Marvel Comics fans are split on whether it will be a good or bad film. Of course, we will not really know until the movie comes out.

But, why are some comic book readers upset about the upcoming Fantastic Four movie? Some fans are upset that the tone of the movie is going to be more serious than past FF movies. Other fans are upset that an African-American actor is cast as the Human Torch. Meanwhile, others are upset that Doctor Doom's last name has been changed. None of these changes really upset me and I am a longtime Fantastic Four fan. I am a little concerned that the Thing may be naked in the movie (as it appears in previews). However, I will be happy as long as there is heroics, drama and the four act like family.

Another comic book/cartoon character I have been revisiting recently is Wonder Woman. A few months ago I purchased a DVD set of the first season of Wonder Woman from the 1970s. I remember seeing the show a few times as a child but never really watched it back in the late 1970s and early 1980s (when it was still in reruns). However, I am very impressed by the series.

The first year of the television series was set in the 1940s and has Wonder Woman fighting Nazis alongside Steve Trevor. It even had her close friend Etta Candy and sister Wonder Girl in the show. The first year of the show is a perfect representation of the Golden Age Wonder Woman. I feel Lynda Carter was the perfect choice to play the role, too. She looks like I would expect Wonder Woman to look in real life.

Let's continue to remember classic characters of the past, such as Woody Woodpecker and Wonder Woman, while being open to new interpretations of our favorites, as in the case of the Fantastic Four.

I am an owner of Halloween Hill, an online store that sells haunted house props, as well as Halloween decorations. I am also a comic book collector and have been for more than 25 years!

Exploring the temperament of the person whose intent and desire is to produce good but whose actions always produce the exact opposite of their intent. What are the thought patterns running through this person's mind that produce such diametrically different results from their desired objective? This temperament is analytical and quiet and knows the difference between right and wrong falling under the melancholic personality types of the proto-psychological theory. However, there is something defiantly erroneous in this person's psyche that contradicts their intent and their actions.

Vows that this person has made to themselves become void because they lack a precise sense of direction. They are moved more by impulse than by reasoning and coherent intelligible rational. The thoughts and behavior of this temperament are very inconsistent. They are both a lion and a clown at the same time. They can be depended upon to break apart when things are not going exactly their way. Moreover, when adversity comes they are resolute in their opinion that the cause of their current predicament is the other person's fault.

Childhood problems are always given the thumbs-up to explain why a person is a psychological nut case. However, all people do not fit into the same mold, and every person has the embedded potential to learn, grow, and develop. No one has to remain in the same state, especially if that pattern is a harvest of misfortunes for themselves and to all others that he or she intermingle. Their desire to be an upright and virtuous person is fatally clipped and reach critical mass whenever they move out of their shell and enter into a relationship.

This temperament has morals and principles, but they are as broken links in a chain because there is no sealant that bonds these traits to the character of the person. They are confused, and their confusion oozes from them into everyone that they become close. They know the exact behavioral qualities that they want to show and share with others, and for a short time they are as they aim to be. Ultimately their temperament draws them back in, and their virtuous objectives take a direct hit that extinguishes them. This person is not one that you would want to form a very close personal relationship. Because the odds are enormously high that they will turn on you in an instant as they swing back and forth in their thinking.

This temperament is a noble, honest person who cannot, or will not, form a pattern for living their life that they can follow and stick with it. They are weighted down by a revolving door personality and crushed under their own feet by their inconsistencies. Their good intentions are better kept to themselves because when they reach out and touch someone with their awkward hands the person that they have touched would have been much better off if they had left them alone.

What should one gain from the contents of this article? Probably nothing. This article has no scholarly research to qualify it, and it is not meant to be a knowledgeable research thesis. A weak mind and a fluctuating temperament are like a key ring holding many instabilities. This shakiness of person held by this temperament is not intentional. This uncommitted, vacillating nature is not designed to cause anyone harm. However, it does, and it does with sheer recklessness because this temperament has no roots to any grounding and will distort the scenery of its surroundings much more often than not.

If done the wrong way, ear stretching can give you unbearable pain, and can even kill your ears, (yes, literally!). Ear stretching is the latest trend, in which, one punctures and stretches one's ear lobes, to an extreme level, wears a stylish carved jewelry (as plugs and tunnels) in the stretched part. Some traditionalists believe that it is irksome or disturbing, but gauged ears look pretty appealing and attractive. However, this body art should be done very carefully.

If you are going to stretch your ear lobes for the first time, here are a few Dos and Don'ts to follow. But before we proceed to that, let us have a look at some consideration, before you step into a professional body art workshop -

There's no looking back!
When you get your earlobes stretched, remember that it is a permanent fix, your old natural ears would never return. It is also true with piercing. Cosmetic surgery is the only possible repair for stretched ears. So, before you go for ear stretching, you should make up your mind, and decide, if you really want this or not.

Consult a renowned body art center
If some accident occurs, because of the mishandling or the lack of experience of the piercer, you wouldn't be able to get your old natural ears back. To avoid such (and any) mishaps, visiting a professional piercer is always advisable.

Dos and Don'ts
Being a newcomer to the ear stretching fashion, there must be running around some rumors, in your mind, which you heard from someone, or one of the friends or relatives of someone. Well, if you have decided to stretch your earlobes, you should approach with a positive frame of mind. Here are some clear suggestions or Dos and Don'ts -

Suggested Material
Surgical stainless steel is considered as the best material for ear plugs or body art jewelries, for the first timers. After the stretching is healed, you can wear charms made up of any material.

Recommended Size
'Slow and steady wins the race' is one of the most heard stories of all time. When stretching your ears for the first time, you can use the tapers starting from 14G to 18G, based on the structuring of your ears and lobes.

Reducing the Pain
There are a number of solutions - like composition of Karanja oil and Jojoba Oil - which you can apply while inserting the drill through your lobes. These are naturally medicated oils that lower the pain during the procedure, and help healing the skin more quickly. You should never use any water base solution while stretching your earlobes.

Bleeding
If it bleeds, you should stop, and wait for the injury to recover completely. Ideally, there are very less chances of bleeding, but when it happens, you should discontinue it for a while.
